Ingredients
1 ml oral drops contains:
Active ingredient: 1 mg dimetindene maleate,
Excipients: propylene glycol, benzoic acid, disodium edetate, sodium hydrogen phosphate decahydrate, citric acid monohydrate, sodium saccharin, purified water.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of allergic skin diseases (urticaria, itching in atopic dermatitis, allergic contact eczema and endogenous eczema) as well as allergic diseases of the respiratory tract (allergic rhinitis), food and drug allergies. Relief of itching in infectious diseases (including chickenpox) as well as relief of symptoms after insect bites. Prophylactically used to prevent allergic reactions after anesthesia.
Effect
The antihistamine Fenistil drops inhibits the effect of histamine – a substance responsible for allergic reactions.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients;
Newborns up to the end of the first month of life, especially premature infants.
Dosage
Adults and children over 12 years:
3-6 mg dimetindene maleate in 3 divided doses. It is recommended to take 20 to 40 drops 3 times daily. In patients prone to drowsiness, 40 drops should be taken at bedtime and 20 drops in the morning.
Children under 12 years:
Infants aged 1 month to 1 year: 3-10 drops 3 times daily.
Children aged 1 to 3 years: 10-15 drops 3 times daily.
Children aged 3 to 12 years: 15-20 drops 3 times daily.
