Composition
1 g ointment contains: Active ingredient: 50 mg dexpanthenol and excipients: white petrolatum, white beeswax, liquid paraffin, polysorbate 80, fragrance Y66 (calendula), and purified water.
Effect
When applied externally to the skin, dexpanthenol is metabolized to pantothenic acid. Pantothenic acid is a component of coenzyme A, which is essential for the proper function of the epithelium and skin and promotes skin regeneration.
Dosage
This medicine is intended for external use. For the treatment of superficial wounds, apply the medicine one or more times daily depending on the condition of the wound. Nursing mothers should apply a compress with the ointment to the nipples for nipple care. Nipples should be washed before each breastfeeding. For infant care, apply the medicine at each diaper change after rinsing the areas prone to diaper rash with water.
Contraindications
Allergy to any of the ingredients. Do not use on large or infected wounds. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
