Functions
The Diagnostic GOLD STRIP blood glucose test strip features an electrode for measuring blood glucose levels. The glucose in the blood sample mixes with the reagents on the test strip and generates a small electric current. The strength of the current depends on the glucose concentration in the blood. The Diagnostic GOLD blood glucose meter measures this current and calculates the blood glucose concentration. The value is displayed on the meter’s LCD display. As soon as a drop of blood is absorbed by the tip of the Diagnostic GOLD STRIP test strip, the reaction field of the strip automatically draws in the blood by capillary action. Once the entire reaction field (yellow area) is filled, the Diagnostic GOLD blood glucose meter begins measuring the blood glucose level. It is a simple and practical system for daily blood glucose monitoring.

Instructions for Use
The Diagnostic Gold test strip is intended for self-monitoring of blood glucose levels in capillary whole blood taken from the fingertip, palm, forearm, or upper arm. The test strip is for external use only (in vitro diagnostics) and is intended exclusively for use with the Diagnostic Gold test device.
