PropertiesBuscopan Forte is an antispasmodic in the form of film-coated tablets. Buscopan Forte contains hyoscine, which has an antispasmodic effect on smooth muscle and thus relieves pain in the internal organs of the abdominal cavity, e.g. in the area of the digestive tract (including IBS), the urinary tract, as well as colic, stomach cramps, and pain in the bile ducts. The medicine is intended for adults and children over 12 years of age.
EffectBuscopan Forte contains hyoscine, which has an antispasmodic effect on smooth muscle (in the digestive tract and its organs as well as in the urinary system). Hyoscine reduces spasms and thus relieves colic and cramp-like conditions of the smooth muscle.
Indications- cramp-like abdominal pain, cramp-like conditions of the smooth muscle of the digestive tract (painful stomach cramps, intestinal colic, irritable bowel syndrome, functional disorders in the digestive tract),
- dyskinesia and spasms of the bile ducts (acute pain in the bile ducts, biliary colic, functional disorders in the area of the bile ducts),
- spasms of the urogenital system (painful menstruation, renal colic, spasms due to ureteral stones).
DosageThis medicine should always be used exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, please consult your doctor or pharmacist. Buscopan Forte is taken orally. The tablets should be swallowed whole with liquid. The medicine should not be used for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor. Usual dose: Adults and children over 12 years: 1 film-coated tablet 1 to 5 times daily.
