The recommended daily dose of paracetamol is about 60 mg/kg body weight per day, administered in 4 or 6 doses per day, e.g., 15 mg/kg body weight every 6 hours or 10 mg/kg body weight every 4 hours. If the desired effect is not achieved within 3-4 hours at the recommended dosage every 6 hours, the preparation can be administered every 4 hours. In this case, a dose of 10 mg/kg body weight should be given. The total daily dose of paracetamol should not exceed 80 mg/kg body weight in children with a body weight under 40 kg.
- Children under 3 years: Paracetamol should only be used on medical advice. It is recommended to administer the oral solution in the form of drops (4 mg/drop) using the pipette provided with the 30-ml pack.
- Children from 3 years: It is recommended to administer the solution in milliliters (ml) using the syringe provided with the 60-ml pack. If there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, if the fever has not subsided after 3 days, or if the pain in children has not subsided after 3 days or in adults after 5 days (2 days for sore throat), you should consult a doctor.
