Characteristics
Uniben is an aerosol form of the medicinal product for use in acute inflammations of the mouth and throat. The medicine contains benzydamine hydrochloride, which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), with local anti-inflammatory, analgesic, as well as anesthetic and disinfectant effects.
Effect
Uniben contains benzydamine, which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-rheumatic drugs (NSAIDs) and therefore, in addition to its anti-inflammatory effect, also has an analgesic effect. The aerosol also acts as a local anesthetic and disinfects the mucous membrane at the site of administration.
Indications
The indication for Uniben is the treatment of localized symptoms associated with acute inflammations in the mouth and throat.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Uniben is applied externally by spraying onto the surface of the oral and/or pharyngeal mucosa. The treatment should not last longer than 7 days unless your doctor advises otherwise. If symptoms such as sore throat, difficulty swallowing saliva, fever worsen or do not disappear after a few days of taking Uniben, consult your doctor.
Children under 6 years - 1 dose per 4 kg body weight, taken 2 to 6 times daily. The maximum daily dose (regardless of body weight) is 4 doses.
Children aged 6 to 12 years - 4 doses at once, 2 to 6 times daily.
Adolescents over 12 years and adults - 4 to 8 doses at one time, 2 to 6 times daily.
