Composition
1 g of powder contains 20 mg of miconazole nitrate. Excipients: zinc oxide, colloidal anhydrous silica, talc.
Action
Miconazole exhibits antifungal activity against dermatophytes and yeasts, with antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria. Miconazole is also effective in the treatment of fungal infections superinfected with bacteria. Miconazole quickly relieves itching, which often accompanies infections caused by dermatophytes and yeasts. Itching subsides before the first signs of healing appear. Miconazole does not cause changes in blood morphology when used externally.
Contraindication
Contraindications for use: hypersensitivity to miconazole or any of the excipients. Do not use in the treatment of fungal infections of the hairy scalp, mucous membranes, nails, or on broken skin.
