Allegra is a medicine for the treatment of hay fever (with sneezing, itching, and runny nose) with symptoms such as red and watery eyes.
Effect
Fexofenadine is an antihistamine that blocks H1 receptors and is non-sedating. The effect begins within one hour after intake. Allegra works for 24 hours.
Composition
The active ingredient is fexofenadine (fexofenadine hydrochloride). Each tablet contains 120 mg fexofenadine hydrochloride, equivalent to 112 mg fexofenadine. Other ingredients: Tablet core: croscarmellose sodium, pregelatinized maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate. Film coating: hypromellose E-15, hypromellose E-5, povidone K30, titanium dioxide (E171), highly dispersed silicon dioxide, macrogol 400, red iron(III) oxide (E172), and yellow iron(III) oxide (E172).
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet once daily.
