Esberitox N is a herbal medicine for the treatment of colds. The medicine comes in tablet form and contains extracts from western arborvitae (Thujae occidentalis herba), echinacea root (Echinaceae purpurae radice), and wild indigo root (Baptisiae tinctoriae radice).
Composition
The active ingredient of the medicine is an extract from: western cicatrix herb, echinacea root, and wild indigo root - Extractum spissum ex: (Baptisiae tinctoriae radice + Echinaceae purpureae radice + Thujae occidentalis herba) (1:11), extraction solvent: ethanol 30% (v/v.)
1 tablet contains 0.215 ml alcohol-water extract (1:11) corresponding to: Baptisiae tinctoriae radice (wild indigo root) - 10 mg, Echinaceae purpureae radice (echinacea root) - 7.5 mg, Thujae occidentalis herba (western arborvitae herb) - 2 mg
Excipients: lactose, magnesium stearate, macrogol 6000, sucrose.
Dosage
This medicine should always be used as described in the package leaflet. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The medicine is taken orally with liquid, preferably water, or the tablet can be dissolved in the mouth. For children under 12 years, consult a doctor before taking the medicine. Do not take Esberitox N for more than 10 days without consulting your doctor.
Children 4 to 6 years - 1 tablet 3 times daily
Children 6 to 12 years - 2 tablets 3 times daily
Children over 12 years and adults - 3 tablets 3 times daily
The duration of use depends on the illness being treated. Treatment should begin as soon as possible after symptoms appear and continue until symptoms subside.
