Properties
Flegamina is a medicinal product with expectorant properties, used for diseases of the respiratory tract accompanied by persistent mucus production.
Dosage
This medicine should always be used exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The medicine is intended for oral use. Due to its mode of action, the medicine should not be taken immediately before bedtime. As a rule, the medicine is used for 7 to 10 days. The medicine should be taken after meals. Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet 3 times daily. Children aged 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet 3 times daily. Children aged 3 to 6 years: 1 tablet 2 times daily. The medicine must not be used in children aged 3 to 6 years who cannot swallow tablets independently; for this patient group, Flegamina syrup can be used.
Effect
Flegamina has a mucolytic effect and helps to clear the bronchi of mucus. Bromhexine reduces the viscosity of mucus, supports the expectoration of secretions, and promotes the function of the ciliated epithelium.
Indications
Acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract associated with impaired expectoration and mucus accumulation.
