DescriptionIbum Forte is a medicinal syrup with pain-relieving, fever-reducing, and anti-inflammatory effects.
CompositionActive ingredient: Ibuprofen.
5 ml contain 200 mg ibuprofen.
Excipients: liquid maltitol, glycerin, xanthan, sodium saccharin, sodium benzoate, fumaric acid, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, flavoring, purified water.
IndicationsIndications include, among others:
- Fever of various causes, including flu, colds, and vaccination reactions; pain of various causes of mild to moderate intensity, such as:
- Headache, throat, and muscle pain (e.g., in viral infections),
- Toothache, pain after dental procedures, and teething pain,
- Joint and bone pain resulting from injuries to the musculoskeletal system (e.g., sprains),
- Pain resulting from soft tissue injuries,
- Pain after operations,
- Ear pain in middle ear infections.
If you do not feel better after 3 days or if your condition worsens, please contact your doctor.
DosageAlways take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any questions, please contact your doctor or pharmacist. The medicine is taken orally. Shake the bottle before use. The daily dose of IBUM FORTE depends on body weight and is 20–30 mg/kg body weight, divided into several doses according to the table. In infants under 6 months, the medicine should only be given after consulting a doctor. The medicine should be administered at intervals of at least six hours. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Do not use the medicine for more than three days without consulting a doctor. In infants aged three to five months, please consult a doctor immediately if symptoms worsen or last longer than 24 hours. In children over six months and adolescents, please consult a doctor if the medicine is needed for more than three days or if symptoms worsen. An oral syringe is included in the package.
Use in children and adolescentsIn infants under six months, the medicine should only be given after consulting a doctor. Dehydrated children and adolescents may be at risk of kidney damage.
ContraindicationsWhen you must not use IBUM FORTE:
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- if you have an active or previous stomach and/or duodenal ulcer, perforation, or bleeding, including after taking NSAIDs,
- if you have previously experienced allergic symptoms such as rhinitis, hives, shortness of breath, or bronchial asthma during the use of acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs,
- if you suffer from severe liver, kidney, or heart failure,
- if you have a brain hemorrhage (cerebrovascular bleeding) or other bleeding disorders
