CharacteristicsThe Helicobacter TEST enables the detection of IgG antibodies that are present in the bodies of people infected with this dangerous bacterium. According to statistical data, up to 70 percent of the population in developing countries are carriers of this bacterium. Helicobacter pylori can remain inactive for many years and then suddenly strike. However, early detection allows for effective antibiotic therapy, giving us a chance for a cure. Symptoms of infection may include constipation, nausea, bloating, heartburn, and abdominal pain, among others. The test primarily consists of detecting IgG antibodies specific to the Helicobacter pylori bacterium. These antibodies are usually present in the body of a person infected with this bacterium. The test makes it possible to determine whether anti-H. pylori antibodies are present in the blood or not, and helps diagnose gastrointestinal complaints caused by the Helicobacter pylori bacterium.
Package contents- Aluminum pouch with test (should be tightly sealed, also contains a moisture absorber)
- sterile lancet
- plastic pipette for collecting blood from the finger
- container with a solution, of which 3 drops must be added to the test window where blood has already been placed
When should the test be performed? The test should primarily be performed by anyone suffering from gastrointestinal complaints, as well as by children and people with a positive result from the IgG antibody test – Healthy Stomach Helicobacter TEST. In addition, the test is helpful in assessing the effectiveness of medical therapy aimed at removing the bacteria from the body.
ApplicationThe blood taken from the finger is applied to the round test field. Then add the solution and wait 15 minutes for the test result. If two pink lines appear in the sample window, this means the test result is positive – Helicobacter pylori antibodies are present in our body. In this case, you should consult a doctor immediately.
Interpretation of the resultThe reliability of the test performed depends primarily on compliance with all safety standards and following the test instructions provided in the product manual.
Positive result – The test result is considered positive if two lines appear in the result window – the control line C and the test line T. They indicate that antibodies against H. pylori have been detected in the blood sample. The line in the test area T may have a slightly weaker, equal, or stronger color intensity than the line in the control area C. However, this is not significant.
Negative result – The test result is negative if only one line appears in the control area C in the result window, while the test line T is not visible. Such a result means that no anti-H. pylori antibodies have been detected in the blood sample.
Invalid result – The test result is considered invalid if no line appears in the result window or only the test line T is visible. In this case, the test should be repeated with a new diagnostic test.
