Properties
Baikadent® is a gel for application to the gums in cases of periodontitis. The use of the product improves the condition of the gums. Its anti-inflammatory effect is presumably based on the inhibition of the synthesis of cellular inflammatory mediators (interleukin IL-1β, leukotrienes, prostaglandins) and the stimulation of fibroblast activity in gingival cells. In addition, the flavonoid complex exhibits antibacterial activity (mainly against gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus mutans, and other pathogenic bacteria such as Prevotella intermedia (formerly Bacteroides melaninogenicus intermedius), isolated from the oral cavity of patients with chronic inflammation of the oral mucosa) and antifungal activity (especially against Candida albicans).
Indications
For supportive treatment of superficial and deep periodontitis, for the prevention of periodontitis, and in cases of chronic inflammation of the oral mucosa (including irritation caused by dentures).
Application
Rub about 2 cm of gel into the affected areas of the oral cavity 2 to 4 times daily, directly after brushing your teeth. Avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes. For chronic inflammation of the oral mucosa, regular use over 2 weeks is recommended. If the symptoms of inflammation persist after this time, please consult a doctor.
