Used locally as an astringent for rinsing in cases of mild inflammation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat.
Dosage, method of administration and route of administration
Pour 2 – 3 tablespoons (6.0 – 9.0 g) of the herb with a glass (200 ml) of warm water. Bring to a boil and let simmer gently under a lid for 5 – 10 minutes, allow to cool slightly, strain. Use the freshly prepared decoction to rinse the mouth and throat.
Composition
1 g of the medicinal product contains 1 g Polygonum aviculare L. s.l. herba (knotweed herb).
