Ambrosol Teva syrup contains the active ingredient ambroxol hydrochloride, which has expectorant and mucolytic effects. It increases the amount of mucus in the airways, reduces its viscosity, and accelerates the removal of secretions through the airways. This makes coughing up easier and relieves coughing.
Dosage
Always take Ambrosol Teva exactly as instructed by your doctor. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Take this medicine after a meal. Do not take it immediately before going to bed.
Adults and children over 12 years: At the beginning, take 30 mg ambroxol hydrochloride (10 ml syrup or 2 measuring spoons) three times daily for 2 to 3 days. Then reduce the dose to 30 mg (10 ml syrup or 2 measuring spoons) twice daily.
Children from 6 to 12 years: 15 mg ambroxol hydrochloride (5 ml syrup or 1 measuring spoon) 2 to 3 times daily.
Children from 2 to 6 years: 7.5 mg ambroxol hydrochloride (2.5 ml syrup or ½ measuring spoon) 3 times daily. Use in children only after consulting a doctor.
