Indications
Symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion in hay fever, colds, and sinusitis.
Afrin ND is suitable for adults and children from 6 years of age.
Active ingredient
Oxymetazoline hydrochloride
Composition
Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg/ml
1 spray (100 µl) contains 50 micrograms of oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
Dosage
Adults
1–2 sprays into each nostril every 12 hours.
Children and adolescents
Children > 10 years: 1–2 sprays into each nostril every 12 hours. Children 6–10 years: 1 spray into each nostril every 12 hours.
Adults should not use more than 8 sprays (children no more than 4 sprays) within 24 hours. The recommended dosage must not be exceeded.
Afrin ND should not be used for longer than 7 days unless recommended by a doctor. The product can be used again after a break of several days.
Method of administration Shake before use. Before first use, the spray pump must be primed by pressing the pump several times until the first full spray appears. Hold the spray upright, insert its tip into each nostril in turn, press the container firmly once or twice, and inhale through the nose at the same time.
