ApplicationStep 1: Insert the condom before opening the foil packaging to avoid damage when tearing it open. Open the foil packaging carefully and avoid sharp objects. Remove the condom carefully to avoid damage from fingernails, jewelry, etc.
Step 2: Place the condom over the erect penis before any genital contact. Only correct use protects against unwanted pregnancy and the transmission of sexually transmitted infections. Place the condom with the rolled side facing out over the tip of the penis.
Step 3: Hold the condom reservoir firmly with the thumb and forefinger of one hand to prevent air from entering the condom. Air in the condom can cause it to burst. Use the other hand to place the condom over the erect penis. The condom should not fit tightly at the tip of the penis – leave about 2 cm of space and then roll it down to the base of the penis.
Step 4: Carefully withdraw the penis immediately after ejaculation, holding the condom firmly at the base. After intercourse, avoid contact between the used condom and the penis with the vagina to prevent sperm from entering the vagina. Wrap the used condom in a tissue and dispose of it in the trash (not in the toilet).
