Flegamina is a syrup for the treatment of productive cough. It facilitates the expectoration of stubborn mucus. Composition
The active ingredient is bromhexine hydrochloride. 5 ml of syrup contain 4 mg of bromhexine hydrochloride. Other ingredients: citric acid monohydrate, glucose monohydrate, glycerol, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, carmine, raspberry flavor, 96% ethanol, purified water.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any questions, please contact your doctor or pharmacist. Children from 7 to 12 years: 5 ml (1 measuring spoon of syrup) 3 times daily. Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml (2 measuring spoons of syrup) 3 times daily. Do not take this medicine immediately before going to bed.
Mode of action
The active ingredient in Flegamina has a mucolytic effect. It reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions, facilitates expectoration, and improves the function of the ciliated epithelium.
