Characteristics
Fervex D is a combination preparation. Paracetamol has pain-relieving and fever-reducing effects. Pheniramine maleate reduces congestion and swelling of the mucous membranes, which relieves nasal congestion and inhibits the sneezing reflex as well as watery eyes. Ascorbic acid supplements vitamin C deficiency in the body.
Indications
Fervex D is indicated for use in adults and adolescents over 15 years of age for the emergency treatment of flu, colds, and flu-like symptoms (headache, fever, nasopharyngitis). It can also be used by diabetics. If a bacterial infection occurs, antibiotic treatment may need to be initiated. If there is no improvement after 5 days or the patient feels worse, a doctor should be consulted.
Children and Adolescents
The medicine can be used in adolescents over 15 years of age.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist. The medicine is taken orally after dissolving the contents of the sachet in a glass of water. Fervex D is intended for short-term use, i.e., up to 5 days, without consulting a doctor. The usual dosage for adults and children over 15 years is 1 sachet 2 to 3 times daily, with at least a 4-hour interval.
