Properties
Xylometazoline (WZF) 0.1% is a nasal spray for adults and children over 12 years of age for the relief of rhinitis and reduction of nasal secretion.
Effect
Xylometazoline (WZF) 0.1% causes constriction of blood vessels when applied to the nasal mucosa, reduces swelling and congestion in the nasopharyngeal mucosa, and decreases secretion.
Indications
Xylometazoline (WZF) 0.1% is used as supportive treatment for acute rhinitis of viral or bacterial origin, acute or chronic exacerbation of sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, and acute otitis media – to open the Eustachian tube.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Adults and children over 12 years: Instill 2 to 3 drops into each nostril every 8 to 10 hours. Do not use more than 3 drops per day per nostril. Do not use for longer than 3 to 5 days.
For hygienic reasons, the package is intended for single use only.
