Properties
Disinfectant for use in acute infections of the oral cavity and throat as well as after tooth extractions and tonsil operations. The medicinal product Faringosept contains Ambazon. It acts bacteriostatically on certain types of bacteria (inhibits their growth) – especially on streptococci (hemolytic, green-coloring) and pneumococci, i.e., those bacteria that frequently cause infections of the mouth and throat. The medication has a moderate effect on staphylococci. The preparation has no effect on the physiological intestinal flora.
Application
Indicated for supportive use in acute infections of the mouth and throat – in tonsillitis, gingivitis, stomatitis, as well as after tonsil removal and tooth extraction.
Composition
Active ingredient: Ambazon (Ambazone monohydrate). One tablet contains 10 mg Ambazon in the form of Ambazone monohydrate and excipients: sucrose, lactose, cocoa, povidone K30, stearic acid, vanillin.
