Areas of Application
Treatment of symptoms (pain, redness, swelling) associated with inflammations of the oral cavity and pharynx, such as bacterial and viral infections, mucositis after radiotherapy, postoperative conditions in ear, nose and throat medicine and dentistry, as well as after intubation.
Dosage
Tantum Verde is used 2 to 6 times daily. Children and adolescents: Children under 6 years: 1 spray per 4 kg body weight, 2 to 6 times daily. Regardless of body weight, no more than 4 sprays may be administered at one time. Children from 6 to 12 years: 4 sprays, 2 to 6 times daily. Children over 12 years: 4 to 8 sprays, 2 to 6 times daily. Adults: 4 to 8 sprays, 2 to 6 times daily. Method of administration: Tantum Verde is sprayed onto the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat. Each dose of Tantum Verde contains 0.17 ml of solution. The recommended dose must not be exceeded. The duration of treatment should not exceed 7 days. Extension is only possible after consultation with a doctor.
Composition
1 ml of solution contains 1.5 mg benzydamine hydrochloride. Excipient with known effect: 1 ml of solution contains 1 mg methyl parahydroxybenzoate.
