Ingredients
100 ml solution contains the active ingredient: 0.15 g benzydamine hydrochloride as well as excipients: glycerin, 96% ethanol, methylparahydroxybenzoate, mint flavor and aroma, saccharin, sodium bicarbonate, polysorbate 20, quinoline yellow 70% (E104), patent blue V 85% (E131), purified water.
Effect
Benzydamine has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects and acts locally as an anesthetic and disinfectant. The medicine is well absorbed locally and reaches a high concentration in inflamed tissues. The medicine is generally well tolerated and is suitable for the local treatment of inflammation symptoms.
Indications
The medicine is used to treat symptoms (pain, redness, swelling) associated with inflammation of the mouth and throat, i.e. in: bacterial and viral infections, inflammation of the mucous membranes after radiation therapy, after surgical procedures in ENT and dentistry, as well as after intubation.
Dosage
The medicine is used 2 to 3 times daily.
Use about 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of the concentrated or slightly diluted Tantum Verde solution each time and rinse mouth and throat for 20 to 30 seconds. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Treatment should not last longer than seven days. Any possible extension should be decided by the doctor.
Contraindications
The medicine is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
