Imodium Instant tablets are an oral antidiarrheal. It reduces intestinal peristalsis and prolongs intestinal transit time. Loperamide increases the resting tone of the anal sphincter while simultaneously reducing the urge to defecate.
Indications
Imodium Instant is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea in adults and children from 6 years of age. In patients with an ileostomy, Imodium Instant can reduce stool frequency and volume and improve stool consistency. It can also be used for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea attacks associated with irritable bowel syndrome in adults (from 18 years) after prior medical diagnosis.
Usage
Place the Imodium Instant orodispersible tablet on the tongue, allow it to dissolve, and swallow it with saliva. No liquid is required for swallowing.
