BenGay
analgesic ointment is a medication for the relief of pain in muscles, joints, and spine. The product is intended for adults and children over 12 years of age.
Ingredients
The active ingredients of the medication are methyl salicylate (Methylis salicylas) and menthol (Mentholum).
1 g of the ointment contains 150 mg methyl salicylate and 100 mg menthol
Excipients: stearic acid, glyceryl monostearate, anhydrous lanolin, polysorbate 85, sorbitan tristearate, triethylamine, purified water.
Dosage
Always use this medication exactly as described in the package leaflet or exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The medication is applied to the skin of the painful area. The dosage of BenGay ointment for adults and children over 12 years is to apply the medication to the skin 3 to 4 times daily, gently massaging the affected area until it is fully absorbed. The use of BenGay without medical advice should not exceed 7 days.
Effect
The medication BenGay has a topical analgesic effect.
Indications
BenGay is used for muscle and joint pain and stiffness caused by overexertion, injuries, or inflammation. Lower back and lumbar pain are also indications for the medication.
