Apap Extra is a medicine for immediate pain relief and has a fever-reducing effect. In addition to paracetamol, the medication also contains caffeine, which enhances its analgesic effect. Apap Extra can be used for mild pain of various origins, such as migraine, neuralgia, as well as for cold and flu symptoms.
Dosage
This medicine should always be used exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The medicine is taken orally.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 1 or 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours (maximum 8 tablets per day).
Effect
The medicine contains paracetamol and caffeine as active ingredients. Paracetamol has analgesic and antipyretic effects. The addition of caffeine enhances the analgesic effect of paracetamol. In addition, caffeine has a moderately stimulating effect on the central nervous system.
Indications
The indications for use of the medicine are pain of various etiologies: headache, including migraine, muscle, tooth, neuralgia, menstrual pain, osteoarticular pain, postoperative and post-traumatic pain.
The medicine also relieves cold and flu symptoms such as fever, sore throat, muscle and joint pain.
Composition
The active ingredients of the medicine are: paracetamol (paracetamolum), caffeine (coffeinum).
1 film-coated tablet contains 500 mg paracetamol and 65 mg caffeine.
Excipients: povidone, corn starch, methylcellulose, talc, calcium stearate. The tablet coating consists of: hypromellose 5, hypromellose 15, macrogol 3350.
