Properties
The medicinal product Coffepirine Tablets for headaches contains two active ingredients: acetylsalicylic acid, which has analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory effects, and caffeine, which acts on the vasomotor center in the brain, causes contraction of the smooth muscles of the blood vessels, and thereby reduces blood flow through the brain tissue. It has a stimulating effect on the respiratory center.
Indications
Coffepirine Tablets for headaches are used to treat pain of various origins with mild to moderate intensity (e.g. headaches, rheumatic pain, muscle pain, neuralgia, toothache).
Active ingredients: Acidum acetylsalicylicum, Coffeinum.
Composition
The active ingredients of the medicinal product are acetylsalicylic acid and caffeine. Excipients are: potato starch and talc.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults and adolescents over 12 years:
Usually, 1 tablet (450 mg acetylsalicylic acid and 50 mg caffeine) is used, if necessary 2 to 6 times daily, but not more frequently than every 4 hours. No more than 6 tablets may be taken within 24 hours (equivalent to 2700 mg acetylsalicylic acid and 300 mg caffeine).
The medicine should not be used for more than 3 days in adults and 1 day in adolescents over 12 years without consulting a doctor.
Caution is advised in adolescents over 12 years due to the caffeine content.
Method of administration
Do not use on an empty stomach. The tablet should be taken with plenty of liquid.
