Characteristics
Clotrimazolum Medana is a medicine with antifungal (fungistatic and fungicidal) effects against dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds. Clotrimazolum Lotion is used for skin infections of fungal origin, dandruff of spots.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Clotrimazolum Medana is applied externally to the skin; the medicine is in liquid form. Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 2 to 3 times daily, a few drops of the liquid are gently rubbed into the affected skin areas. After the acute symptoms of the disease subside, treatment should be continued for at least 4 weeks until the symptoms have completely disappeared. In the case of tinea pedis, the medication should be used for another two weeks after all symptoms have disappeared to prevent recurrence.
Effect
Clotrimazolum Medana contains clotrimazole, an imidazole derivative that has broad antifungal activity (depending on the concentration, it shows fungicidal or fungistatic properties).
