Ingredients
(1 gram): 10 mg terbinafine hydrochloride and excipients: sodium hydroxide, benzyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, isopropyl myristate, purified water.
Indications
Fungal infections of the skin (athlete’s foot, skin fungus, skin folds on the trunk and in the groin), pityriasis versicolor.
Effect
The active ingredient of the medicine – terbinafine – has a fungicidal effect against dermatophytes, molds, and certain dimorphic fungi. Depending on the type, it also acts fungicidally or fungistatically against yeasts. Interdigital mycosis of the feet, also known as athlete’s foot, can occur on one or both feet. It usually begins between the fifth and fourth as well as the third and fourth toes, but can also appear on the inside of the foot, the so-called arch. The skin cracks, flakes, is reddened, and sometimes itches. This condition should be treated as soon as possible after the first symptoms appear.
Dosage
For external use only. The medicine should be applied once or twice daily. Before applying the medicine, the affected skin should be thoroughly cleaned and dried. Then a thin layer of the medicine should be applied to the affected areas and their surroundings and gently rubbed into the skin.
Contraindications
Do not use the medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
