Characteristics
Salicylol is an oily solution of salicylic acid, with antibacterial, antifungal, and mildly keratolytic effects, i.e., it has a dissolving effect on the epidermis.
Indications
Seborrheic dermatitis, which manifests as persistent scaling, fungal infections, i.e., superficial tinea capitis, tinea capitis with inflammatory reaction, scaling. As an adjunct in the treatment of acne.
Dosage
Adults and children from 3 years of age rub the affected area of the scalp with a cotton ball soaked in the solution, parting the hair. Wash the head after 1-2 hours. Repeat the treatment several times at intervals of 3-4 days.
