Properties
Polocard 75 mg is a medicinal product containing acetylsalicylic acid, which inhibits the clumping of blood platelets.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose is 1–2 tablets daily. In patients with a recent or suspected heart attack, the initial dose is 225 mg to 300 mg acetylsalicylic acid once daily to achieve rapid inhibition of platelet aggregation. The medicine should be taken orally, preferably during or after a meal, with a little water. To reduce the risk of side effects, the lowest effective dose should be used.
Effect
The acetylsalicylic acid contained in Polocard 75 mg inhibits platelet aggregation (clumping).
Indications
Polocard 75 mg is used for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases that carry a risk of blood clots and vascular occlusions.
