Areas of Application
Espumisan is a medication for bloating and feeling of fullness, which can be used for the symptomatic treatment of digestive complaints. It is also used to prepare patients for various types of abdominal examinations (ultrasound, gastroscopy, X-ray). The medication can also be used after abdominal surgery.
Effect
The medication effectively eliminates gases in the gastrointestinal mucosa and reduces the feeling of pressure and fullness in the abdominal area.
Dosage
Children from 6 years and adults: 2 capsules up to 3-4 times daily. For preparation for examinations: 2 capsules 3 times daily on the day before the examination and 2 capsules in the morning on an empty stomach on the day of the examination.
Composition
1 capsule contains: 40 mg simethicone and other ingredients: methylparahydroxybenzoate, gelatin, glycerol 85%, sunset yellow FCF (E110), quinoline yellow (E104).
Contraindications
This medicine must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients or to 4-hydroxybenzoate.
