Characteristics
Nifuroxazide 100 Hasco is a medication for diarrhea used for intestinal complaints caused by bacterial infections. The active ingredient is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that acts especially against the strains responsible for gastrointestinal diseases. The medication acts exclusively in the intestinal lumen (it is not absorbed) and does not disturb the physiological balance of the intestinal microflora.
Effect
Nifuroxazide has an antimicrobial effect against most bacteria that cause intestinal infections. It does not disturb the normal microbial balance of the gastrointestinal tract. Nifuroxazide acts quickly and exclusively in the intestinal lumen, is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, and has no systemic effect. It is rapidly excreted from the body.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults: 800 mg daily in 2-4 divided doses.
Children from 6 years of age: 600 to 800 mg per day in 2-4 divided doses.
Do not take it for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor.
