Characteristics
Nifuroxazide Gedeon Richter is a medicine intended for adults and children over 7 years of age. Its active ingredient is nifuroxazide with antimicrobial action, used in acute and chronic diarrhea of bacterial origin.
Effect
Nifuroxazide Gedeon Richter shows antimicrobial activity in the intestinal lumen against selected types of bacteria. It does not destroy the natural bacterial flora of the gastrointestinal tract and does not cause the development of resistant strains. The medicine is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and is excreted from the body in the form of non-micronutrients.
Indications
The medicine is recommended for use in acute and chronic diarrhea of bacterial origin and other diarrheal diseases.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose for adults, adolescents, and children from 7 years of age is 1 capsule 4 times daily, every 6 hours. Nifuroxazide Gedeon Richter is intended for oral use; the capsules should be swallowed whole with sufficient water.
