Ingredients
1 tablet contains 3 mg of vitamin B2 (riboflavin). Vitamin B2 is found in liver, kidneys, eggs, milk, yeast, and green vegetables. A vitamin B2 deficiency can lead to cracked lips and corners of the mouth, smooth tongue mucosa, seborrheic dermatitis, ingrowth of blood vessels into the cornea, burning eyes, light sensitivity, and anemia. The daily requirement is 1.2–1.8 mg. In children, riboflavin deficiency can cause growth and developmental disorders. Vitamin B2 Teva is recommended for vitamin B2 deficiency and avitaminosis.
Indications
Vitamin B2 is used for the prevention and treatment of vitamin B2 deficiency as well as in situations with increased vitamin B2 requirements. These include, for example, infections, fever, burns, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and bile ducts, hyperthyroidism, chronic stress, pregnancy and breastfeeding, postoperative treatment, as well as anemia and neuropathy. Vitamin B2 can be used as a supplement in the treatment of angular cheilitis, inflammation of the oral mucosa at the corners of the mouth, lip redness, and skin diseases.
Effect
Riboflavin (vitamin B2) plays an important role in redox processes as well as in carbohydrate and protein metabolism. It is also involved in processes in the skin and epidermis.
Dosage
Adults: Prophylactic: 3 mg 1 to 3 times daily; - Therapeutic: 9 mg to 30 mg (3 to 10 tablets) daily, divided into 3 to 5 single doses.
