Milled flax
This is ground flax seed obtained through a de-fatting process. It is an excellent component of a daily balanced diet. Preparation suggestion
Pour 3/4 cup warm water over 1 teaspoon of ground flaxseed. Allow to stand for several minutes, stirring frequently. Can be consumed up to 2-3 times a day with the addition of milk, fruit, juice, yogurt or honey. Ground flax is an excellent addition to soups, breads, sauces, and breakfast cereals.
